THE OLD BARN

50th anniversary

SATURDAY

OCTOBER 29TH 2011

On the 29th of October, the entire

Weston community came together to honour the memory of my father during the barber shop's 50th anniversary. From the pancake breakfast to live bands, to Santa Claus and the Stanley Cup...

my father would have been touched how everyone thought of him today.

Thank you Councillor Frances Nunziata,MPP Laura Albanese, MP Mike Sullivan,

Weston Village B.I.A.,Weston Farmer's Market,Weston local businesses,

Phil Pritchard, Mark DeMontis,Hersh Borenstein,Danny Lewicki,Eddie Shack, Bob Nevin, Cliff Fletcher,& paparazzi Gary Alderson.

Thank you to my team of referees...Sotiris, Jim, Peter, Andrew, and George.

most important thanks to my family...

and my father Pantelis (Peter) Kalamaris

Thank you to all of our loyal clients over these past 50 years...there have been many changes since my father

first had the barber shop at Glencairn and Dufferin .

Coming home to Weston he bought out Hodge's barber shop across the street where he stayed until the early 70's. Moving down into the basement at #4 was the cool thing to do... first the small shop with the shoe repair and Rose school of music beside him....and then expanding the shop as we soon needed lots of elbow room down there.

IN 1992 WE MOVED UPSTAIRS AS A FAVOUR TO THE LANDLORD BECAUSE A FISH STORE ALMOST WRECKED THE BUILDING.....

AND STAYED THERE TILL THE END OF 2015.

SOOOOOOOO.....

WE TOOK DOWN EVERYTHING......

AND FROM THERE WE MOVED AROUND THE CORNER TO OUR CURRENT SPOT AT

1967 PANTELIS KALAMARIS LANE
